Alice Coachman was born on November 9, 1923 was the first African American woman to win the Olympic Gold Medal in 1948 in London at the Summer Olympics. Alice was inducted into one Halls of Fame. Alice became the first black woman to get signed by Coca-Cola to endorse internationally. The Alice Coachman Track and field foundation was formed by Alice to assist young athletes and former Olympic athletes in 1994. Alice past at the age of 90 on July 14, 2014.
